Trail projects

Projects are on hold due to COVID

Hoping to restart in Fall of 2021

The LIGTC offers scheduled conservation and trail improvement projects. The committee members working on the projects are all registered Boy Scouts with adult leader training. The current members include: Mike Brenner, Bob Loughran, Mike Messina, Charlie Ruiz, John Schmidt, Steve Shull, James Van Tassell and Don Wright. Several members are Hiking and Backpacking merit badge counselors.

The committee has developed trail conservation and improvement projects and offers hikes that meet requirements for hiking and backpacking merit badges. These activities will be offered on Long Island using the LIGTC trails and at Onteora Scout Reservation in Livingston Manor, NY.

Our schedule will be sent by email to those who register for our email list. To receive notices by emailing subscribe to our mailing list by CLICKING HERE
